We bought six champagne flute glasses for ourselves. These are exquisite well-made (supposedly European hand-made) crystal glasses.Like finest crystal, they are lightweight and refined. The items ship very well packaged with a large lint-free silk-like cleaning cloth. They suggest they should not go into a dishwasher. While some reviewers say they do that, compared to regular glassware there is a substantially high risk of breakage, either from being knocked during the wash cycle or from their lower heat tolerance. And, like all refined crystalware, when these break it is into a million tiny shards, which your dishwasher's waste handling / grinding mechanism is probably going to choke on, perhaps expensively. So, your risk. And of course, even with rinse aids there is risk that all glassware will eventually get a cloudy appearance, requiring polishing with special glass cleaners, which is not feasible for champagne flutes (narrow opening) nor advisable (may break with vigorous handling). And besides, they provide a lovely cleaning cloth.Having said that, I can attest that the seller stands by and supports their product to such a very prompt and generous extent that we are now contemplating buying other glasses in their range.
